SA GIANG SHRIMP CHIPS
One of the famous special foods in Mekong Delta is Shrimp Chips in Sa Giang, Dong Thap province. The Tien River brings to the locals a huge amount of fish, shrimp, and prawn every year, which are the main ingredients of the cake.
From various kinds of shrimp and prawn, people can turn it to delicious food such as “Shrimp Chips” Đồng Tháp unique food. The cake is made from blended shrimp or prawn, flour and pepper. Then all these ingredients will be mixed together and filled in a long fabric bag. After that it is steamed, cut in pieces. Finally the cake is dried under the sunshine. The deep dry cake tastes crispy, fatty and yummy when enjoy with Vietnamese Lotus Stem Salad
Nowadays, people are not only able to enjoy “Shrimp Chips” from shrimp but also able to try others flavor such as fish, squid, and crab, etc.
